We get to see a lot of shared images of Jasper, and we have to say: we are constantly astounded by the photographic talent we see from both locals and visitors alike. So we highlight a few of our favourites every month on our website. To have your photos considered, share them on Instagram and include the hashtags #venturebeyond and #myjasper or tag @tourismjasper.

Here are our top picks from this winter:

In the mountains, it can feel like winter holds on longer than the date on the calendar suggests it should. But as we head into April, the signs are there and everyone's sitting around watching the snow melt in the valleys like:

Then again, winter is pretty beautiful, as this shot at the bottom of Maligne Canyon shows.

Athabasca Falls is another spot that is absolutely stunning in winter. But if you didn't visit during the colder months, don't fret; this waterfall wonder is just as spectacular in the spring as the melting snow means more water flow.

The days are getting longer, which means that if you want to catch light shows like this next pic, you have to stay up a bit later.

Thanks for the beauty, winter. If you want more snowy adventures, Marmot Basin ski resort is usually open until May!! Learn more about spring skiing here.
