Dry Suit Orientation

Scenic Float Trip

Your  National Park licensed guide will point out the natural and human history of Jasper as you make your way down the river. The Athabasca River is the same route that was used by the “fur traders” many years ago, (David Thompson 1811).

Rescue Diver

Canyoning in Morro Canyon

Are you looking to get your feet wet? Morro Canyon is the place to be. This normally "dry" canyon does feature numerous pools up to mid-shin deep. You are going to get your feet wet, but that is about it.

This 6 hour day is a great family outing that offers incredible vistas and an amazing experience very few people have the opportunity to see. This trip features a moderate hike and requires moderate fitness. The approach hike is approximately 1.5 hours with an elevation gain of about 480m. The canyon portion of this trip is dry for most of the year. There are eight rappels and many more "drops" in this canyon with the longest rappel being approximately 15 meters. If you are looking to learn what Canyoning is all about this is the trip for you.

Canyoning in Ogre Canyon

Maligne Valley Wildlife and Waterfalls Tour

This journey takes us through forty five kilometers of the most spectacular scenery anywhere in the Canadian Rockies. The Maligne Valley is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, and has geological features unique anywhere in the world.

Our journey will be searching for the abundant wildlife while explaining the history and natural wonders to be explored. 

 A 30 minute stop at Maligne Canyon allows us time to explore the two bridges, offering fantastic views of the cascading waterfall and continuing erosion of the ancient limestone. 

As we continue into the Valley we will rise into the sub-alpine forests and view the expanding ranges of limestone rising out of Medicine Lake. This mysterious disappearing lake will change seasonally as the flow rates of melt waters fill and empty this basin. A stop is made to photograph this natural wonder and your guide will trace its history with you. From Medicine Lake we continue up through forest that is prime habitat for moose and bears. Sightings are common but not guaranteed as we are trying to view these animals in their natural habitat.

At world famous Maligne Lake those who have chosen the Full Tour with Cruise will embark on the Boat Tour to Spirit Island. This will showcase the blue green glacial water of Maligne Lake and you will learn the human and geologic history of the area on the comfortable enclosed boat tour. This 90 minute journey stops at Spirit Island to allow for a walk to the famous photo view point.

Those who have opted for the Guided Walk Only, will instead be led on a 3-4 km interpretive nature walk. You will take in beautiful lakeshore vistas before following the easy-grade trail loop back into the forested surrounds. Along the way, your guide will share interesting ecological facts and you may even spot some resident wildlife.

Canyoning in Two Valley Canyon

Two Valley creek starts out with a short 15 minute trek uphill to "The Gates of the Canyon" where you will enter a world that is unlike any other. You have seen canyons from above, now is the time to see it from within. Are you looking to get more than your feet wet?

 This trip is all about being in the water. This trip requires a moderate fitness level and willingness to get soaked. On this trip you will be walking over wet rocks and navigate slippery surfaces and rappelling from heights up to 15 meters. This trip takes approximately 4.5 hours. All equipment provided.
