The Jasper SkyTram Welcomes Visitors For The 2016 Season Starting March 25th
Jasper, Canada (March 18, 2016) –
The Jasper SkyTram - a soaring seven-minute tram flight to the top of Whistler's mountain - will be reopening for the 2016 season earlier than ever before, beginning on Friday, March 25th.
People have been moved by the awe-inspiring Canadian Rockies for as long as we’ve been exploring. Hiking, scrambling, and straight-up climbing to summits might be the perfect adventure for some, but for the rest of us the Jasper SkyTram is a more direct route to the best view in Jasper.
At an elevation of 2,277 metres, the SkyTram’s upper terminal offers explorers the opportunity to reconnect with the natural beauty of the real Rockies and gain a unique perspective that you can only get when you’re on top of the world.
An earlier start to the season isn’t all that’s new this year at the SkyTram. Snowshoe rentals, extended operating hours, and a refreshed dining menu courtesy of Dana Hospitality are all waiting for visitors at the top of the mountain.
“Adventure and exploration are at the core of Jasper SkyTram,” says Brian Rode, Vice President, Marketing and Sales. “So, we’re very excited to kick off the 2016 season this Easter weekend by inviting everyone to venture into the high alpine and snowshoe their way into the untouched winter of Whistlers mountain.”
Explorers who are planning a Jasper adventure before May 1st can plan to conquer two peaks in one visit. Thanks to a special cross-promotion, a flight ticket from the Jasper SkyTram or a lift ticket from Marmot Basin – home of the highest base elevation in the Canadian Rockies – can get you a 20% discount off of the other experience. Ski one mountain in the morning and snowshoe atop another in the afternoon – now that’s a real Rockies experience!
