Need we say more? Grab a pint or cocktail at one of Jasper’s local watering holes and see where the night takes you! Start your evening off by catching a brew tour at Jasper Brewing Company or playing a game of pool at the Athabasca Hotel.

2 Go Stargazing

With 11,000 square kilometers of preserved dark sky, it’s guaranteed that on a clear night there’s a spot in Jasper to see night sky in all its glory. If you’re wondering where to go stargazing, take a look at the list we compiled of some of our favourite spots in Jasper.

Tip: You can visit the Jasper Planetarium and learn all about the world’s largest accessible dark sky preserve with a live guide, rain-or-shine!

4 Experience Jasper’s Popular Attractions In The Dark

Spend an evening venturing into the hottest hot springs in the Canadian Rockies or travelling up the Jasper Skytram to look at the stars.

Surrounded by mountain vistas, the Miette Hot Springs are open until 11PM in the summer months, while the Jasper Skytram is open until 9 PM. During September and October, the Jasper Skytram offers Star Sessions, a unique dining and stargazing experience that runs until 10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Watching the sunset is always a fantastic way to end an adventure-packed day. Head down to one of Jasper’s lakes, grab a blanket and watch the sun go down before your very eyes!

Jasper’s welcoming atmosphere encourages musicians to play live shows in town! If it’s Friday night and you find yourself in Jasper, head down to the Royal Canadian Legion for open jam night. The Whistle Stop and the Athabasca Hotel also host a variety of live music performances throughout the year.

LOCAL TIP: The hall rentals are a great location for birthdays, weddings, fund-raisers, or any special occasions.Offering free pool, shuffle board, Foosball, and darts.

8 Take Some Time To Relax

Taking time to re-energize is key to a successful visit to the Real Rockies. Jasper Wellnessprovides a variety of yoga classes for every level. Try their Fireside Flow evening class on Thursdays and let your muscles relax after a day full of adventure in the park.

9 Have A Campfire

Sitting by a campfire is always a great go-to nighttime activity in Jasper. Who doesn’t love warmth and s’mores?

Always be aware that fires are only permitted in a proper fire receptacle and no random fires are permitted in the park, be sure to check with the Parks Canada website or the Visitor Information Centre to see if there is a fire ban in order.
