Join a Parks Canada interpreter a 3km walk through mature Douglas fir forests that play a critical role in the ecological health of Jasper National Park. Learn to appreciate the landscapes around the town site of Jasper and leave with a deeper understanding of why the wildlife of this special place love this landscape too!

This snowshoe walk is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or ability. No snowshoes? No problem! We’ll loan you a pair.

Be prepared for the elements, wear warm winter clothing and winter boots. Pack water and snacks.

Important: the hike will be cancelled if the weather is -20 degrees (or below) with windchill. Safety and an enjoyable time are our priorities!
