Tuesday, January 20th, D'ed Dog Bar & Grill will be hosting a Free Comedy Workshop for All Levels, led by internationally touring headliner, Lars Callieou with credits that include Just for Laughs, The Comedy Network, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, CBC, and The Halifax Comedy Festival.
This interactive workshop will cover both the creative and business sides of comedy, including:
Mic and stage technique
Showcasing and performance skills
Comedy competitions and festivals
Touring internationally
Performing at international Fringe Festivals
The business side of stand-up comedy
The workshop has previously been presented in Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Edmonton, Calgary, Whitehorse, and Singapore, and is designed to benefit comedians at all levels, from beginners to seasoned performers.
Duration: 2 - 2.5 hours
This is a great opportunity for aspiring and working comedians to gain real-world insight from an active touring professional, as well as for the local arts community to come together for an educational and inspiring event.
