Morro Peak Day Hike

There are few better ways to appreciate the scale and splendor of the Canadian Rockies than by climbing a mountain. A short drive east of the Jasper Townsite, Morro Peak is a great first-summit for adventurers new to the Rockies (or those looking in search of panoramic viewpoints). The route climbs 700 m over the course of 6.8 km and is a great choice for day of exercise, and adventure.

Your guide, Ben Nearingburg, is a Jasper-local and author of several guidebooks who help you connect with the history, and ecology of the Jasper region. At the summit of Morro Peak, we can munch on a tasty lunch while we have ample opportunity to enjoy the landscape.

We provide hiking poles, lunch, and water for your ascent; all you need to bring is a pair of boots and a sense of adventure.
