Be a Responsible Explorer:

Invasive species to look out for
Yellow Clematis
Yellow Clematis is a climbing or trailing vine with finely divided, bluish-green leaves and distinctive nodding, lantern-shaped yellow flowers that later form feathery seed heads.
Dalmatian Toadflax
Dalmatian Toadflax is an upright perennial with waxy, bluish-green, heart-shaped leaves that clasp the stem, and bright yellow, snapdragon-like flowers with orange throats clustered along the upper stem.
Yellow Toadflax
Yellow Toadflax is a slender, upright plant with narrow, pale green leaves and bright yellow, snapdragon-like flowers featuring a prominent orange patch on the lower lip.
Himalayan Balsam
Himalayan Balsam is a tall, fast-growing plant with reddish, hollow stems, lance-shaped toothed leaves, and showy, helmet-shaped pink to purple flowers, often found along riverbanks and damp areas.
Crested Wheatgrass
Crested Wheatgrass is a perennial grass with stiff, blue-green leaves and distinctive, dense, upright seed heads that have a crested or comb-like appearance.
Canada Thistle
Canada Thistle is a tall, spiny perennial with deeply lobed, dark green leaves and clusters of small, purple-pink, tubular flowers, often forming dense, invasive patches.
Scentless Chamomile
Scentless Chamomile is a bushy, daisy-like plant with finely divided, feathery green leaves and white petals surrounding a yellow center, notable for its lack of fragrance.
Oxeye Daisy
Oxeye Daisy is a perennial plant with smooth, spoon-shaped leaves and classic daisy flowers featuring white petals and a bright yellow center, growing singly on tall, slender stems.
Bluebur
The Blue Bur can be identified by its sprawling growth habit, blue-green leaves, and distinctive round burrs covered in hooked spines that easily cling to fur and clothing.
