Sunny Skies, Great Snow Conditions and Crowd Free Slopes at Marmot Basin

Jasper, Canada (March 1, 2016) –

Skiers and snowboarders who ventured to Jasper and the slopes of Marmot Basin this past weekend were treated to sunny skies, warm temperatures, crowd-free slopes and ideal snow conditions. It doesn’t get much better than that for skiers looking for their March skiing getaway.

With unseasonably warm temperatures throughout Alberta this winter, it is understandable that many skiers are unsure of how good the conditions in the mountains really are. While the warm temperatures have eroded most of the snow in the cities and at low level elevations, the snow in the alpine regions of Marmot Basin is plentiful and is providing ideal skiing and snowboarding conditions.

Marmot Basin will be open until May 1st this season but don’t wait until the last minute; skiing conditions are exceptional right now! Over the last two days we’ve been blanketed with 4 more centimeters of snow.

And once again, Marmot Basin and Jasper hotels have teamed up to offer the Snowdays Midweek Package. Lift tickets and hotel stays are reduced in price by 30% for those who book this special midweek ski and stay package. Check out the Snowdays package and other great deals at or visit
