Canada’s Top Rated Show Makes a Pit Stop in the Real Rockies
Jasper, Canada (June 29, 2016) –
Teams on CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada kicked off a new season by racing through Jasper National Park in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
The Amazing Race Canada premiered its fourth season on June 28th, with 10 teams from all over Canada racing across the country and the world for a shot at the grand prize, which includes $250, 000 cash. Some of the teams featured this year include former Big Brother Canada stars Jillian and Emmett, Ashley Callingbull, the first Canadian and the first, First Nations woman to win the title of Mrs. Universe, and Rita and Yvette Yakibonge, a pair of twins from Edmonton, Alberta.
Managing Director of Tourism Jasper, Kyle Harms, believes that Jasper National Park is the ideal setting for contestants to push their limits and experience the outdoors.
“Having The Amazing Race Canada here in Jasper allowed our Shareholders and our community stakeholders to showcase Jasper not only as a unique travel destination, but as Canada’s base of adventure”
The awe-inspiring Rocky Mountain landscape of Jasper National Park was a picturesque backdrop to the first leg of the race and provided a perfect mix of natural and man-made obstacles for the show’s multiple challenges.
“Millions of captivated Canadians tuned into the show and it is our hope that they’re all feeling motivation to venture beyond their comfort zone in Jasper.”
