This final weekend of Jasper in January has something for
everyone. With so many great events to choose from, we’re here to help you come
up with a plan to make the most out of your weekend.
Check into a wide selection of accommodations right here in Jasper! You really can’t go wrong, so take your pick from these great hotels and resorts.
Join a Parks Canada interpreter at Marmot Meadows for some fireside First Nations Dark Sky Stories and ceremonies while enjoying bannock & tea. It’s a unique experience to enjoy while visiting one of the largest Dark Sky Preserves in the world!
Jasper's National Park Brewery. With six signature beers brewed on-site, Jasper Brewing Company uses only the best: premium hops and malts combined with their
own cultured yeast strains. Their final ingredient is the pure, natural mountain
water sourced from the great Canadian Rockies. Unlike most commercial
breweries, the brewmasters at Jasper Brewing Co. do nothing to the water but
remove the chlorine added to it. Participating in the brewery tour means you
not only get to see how these delicious drinks are made, but you’ll walk away
with a souvenir pint class, a Jasper Brewing Co. t-shirt and enjoy your choice
of a burger or sandwich off the menu!
Take a peek into the world of wildlife research in Jasper National Park. Join a Parks Canada interpreter on a Wildlife Camera Safari. Practice wildlife tracking and learn how trail cameras help us better understand the park’s wildlife. Depending on the weather, this adventure will either be done hiking or snowshoeing.
Pack in some extra time on the slopes at Evenings at the Eagle hosted by Marmot Basin! Running from 5:00PM – 7:00 PM, enjoy a delicious three course meal followed by an exciting chance to ski down the hill in the dark using headlamps to guide your way!
Downtown Jasper transforms into a street party full of fun and music. With street performers, live music from Shred Kelly, food, games, and an ice bar, this is one event you can’t miss!
Jasper’s favourite Juno Award nominated troubadour is returning to the Jasper Legion on January 28th. Doors open at 8PM and the show starts at 9 PM. If you feel like skipping out on the fireworks this year, stop by the legion after checking out the street party! Del Barber’s smooth storytelling and country folk vibes will instantly warm you up from the cold.
Stop in to the Yellowhead Museum & Archives and enjoy snacks and a cash bar while taking in the gems and jewels in Jasper National Park through the world of local photographer Luuk Wijk.
