Jasper in January: Adventures Week


There’s no better time than January for an adventure in Jasper. Whether you’re one of those extreme adventurers, intermediate or easy-going we have got you covered this January! The Adventures week will take place from January 14th – 20th, but of course there will be many other adventures throughout the winter.  Take a look at the many opportunities you have to explore:

Who said you can’t bike in the winter?! Canada’s first ever Jasper Fat Bike Race & Summit Powered by Frosty’s Fat Bike Race Series is coming to town. Join in on the many adrenaline pumping events that Frosty’s has to offer:

Marmot Meadows Activities

Have you ever wanted to snow shoe, start a campfire or venture into the woods to learn about Jasper’s wildlife?  If you answered yes, then Marmot Meadows is the place for you! 

Join Parks Canada at Marmot Meadows for a range of interpretive programs. There are activities for all ages that you will not want to miss! Check them out:

Cold Fire Creek Dogsledding

What better way to venture deep into the heart of the Canadian Rockies, than behind a team of enthusiastic and friendly Alaskan Huskies.  Our friends from Cold Fire Creek Dogsledding are joining us at Pyramid Lake and are bringing their furry friends with them! You will marvel at the beauty of snow-capped timbers, frozen waterfalls, icy waters and endless panoramic views while being led by a team of sled dogs! Learn more here

Marmot Basin

Don’t pass up the chance to hit the slopes this Jasper in January. The adventures week has you covered with numerous events that will have every true skier or boarder itching to get up to the hill!

Your day doesn't end when the lifts close, head up to the Upper Chalet for Evenings at theEagle. We know you’ll be hungry after a full day of unbelievable skiing so start your night with a cash bar and light snacks.  From there you will be served a delicious 3 course meal, a perfect end to your ski day.  On top of all this, you will end your day with an escorted night ski down the mountain.

In the market for some new gear? Come out and try some new products at Marmot Basin Demo Days.  Have the chance to learn about some companies such as Head, Nordica, Marker, Pure Outdoors and 93 North Skis.

Last but not least! Join us for Avalanche Awareness Day and get some avalanche education including beacon training sessions, CARDA dog demonstrations, avalanche awareness talks and explosive demonstrations.
