Celebrate Winter With Jasper in January Ambassador Jennifer Heil

From skiing to skating and everything in between, you’ve got to really love playing in the snow and embracing the chill to be a winter athlete.

As an Olympic medalist in Freestyle mogul skiing, Jennifer Heil loves all things winter, which makes her the perfect ambassador for the 28th annual Jasper in January!

Olympic champion, silver medalist, and four-time world champion, Jennifer grew up spending her winters learning how to ski and training at Jasper’s Marmot Basin Ski Area, home of the highest base elevation in the Canadian Rockies.

“I always anticipated the month of January as a kid. It meant the annual family road trip to ski the slopes of Marmot Basin by day, followed by evenings of food, music and entertainment. I will always return to the mountain I grew up on,” she says.

As a champion of winter, her stamp of approval is all over this year’s Jasper in January celebration.

Want to ski like a pro? On Saturday, January 21st, aspiring Olympians can get a lesson from Jennifer herself as she hosts two family friendly ski clinics at Marmot Basin Ski Area. The clinics includes lunch with Jennifer where she will chat about her career, how her parents contributed to her success, overcoming personal challenges and the importance of participation. Each session is limited to 10 children aged between 6-14 years and their parent/s.
