Be Prepared for Adventure at Spirit Island This Long Weekend

The only thing better than summer is a summer long weekend!

The August long weekend is upon us, which makes this the perfect time for exploring Canada’s base of adventure. Visitors will be combing the trails, lakes, and rivers for some of the best experiences Jasper has to offer, like the signature Spirit Island Boat Cruise!

Parks Canada - Ryan Bray

Found in the middle of the pristine Maligne Lake – an emerald green glacial-fed lake located about an hour from town – people come from all over the world to experience this awe-inspiring natural wonder.

But visiting Spirit Island is high on a lot of explorers’ to-do lists (and once you’ve seen it for yourself, you’ll understand why) so on a long weekend in the middle of summer, it makes sense to come prepared. If you’re planning on checking out the boat cruise this weekend, we recommend making reservations in advance to avoid disappointment should the cruises sell out.

You can make reservations by visiting the Maligne Lake Office at 616 Patricia Street or calling (780)852-3370.
