Are you ready for a battle? A Canadian Rockies Snow Battle?

Then get ready for Jasper's newest sport: Yukigassen! Yukigassen is the Japanese team sport of organized snowball fights, which we feel is about as Canadian as it gets.

In 2012, Jasper will play host to the Canadian Rockies Snow Battle during our annual Jasper in January Festival.

For more information on rules of Yukigassen and to learn more about Yukigassen Canada, check out www.yukigassencanada.com. By the way, this will be a Yukigassen Canada-sanctioned event, and participants will have the chance to go to the Canadian finals, should they win!

Be sure to get a team together (family, friends or business colleagues) and register for this not-to-be-missed Jasper event! Registration will open mid-December, 2011. Check back often to register, or for more details on this exciting Canadian Rockies event – or to simply come to Jasper, sit back and enjoy the show.

January, 27th

Yukigassen Exhibition Snow Battle! - $12 per person (Minimum 7 players per team)

12:00 pm

January, 28th

Yukigassen Snow Battle! Main Event - $40 per person (Minimum 7 players per team)

9:00 am

Each days events will be held at Centennial Park, helmets with a cage or visor is required.
