Winter Wonderland Hike: January 1, 2012
When:
Sun, 2012-01-01 10:00 - 13:00
Surrounded by snow draped mountains and crystalline lakes, winter in Jasper National Park is a land of majestic beauty. To the wildlife that call it home, it can be a land of hardship, and a struggle to survive. No wonder the bears sleep the winter away!
Join a park interpreter for an easy two hour stroll along the Athabasca River - a Canadian Heritage river. We’ll explore winter wildlife signs and see firsthand some of the work Parks Canada is doing to make life easier for our beloved mega fauna. Dress warm!
The walks begin at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, at the Old Fort Point parking lot.
