I may be the largest member of the deer family, but don’t go fawning over me, says Bullwinkle.

This cozy Jasper restaurant in a pine finished loft offers a genuine Rocky Mountain ambiance enhanced by Colin Range views enjoyed from candle-lit, window side tables. “We offer an unpretentious dining experience combined with food of exceptional quality,” notes Chef/owner John Riedler who works alongside his wife Darlene in the restaurant. Alberta raised beef and wild game share the menu with fresh Canadian fish (as available); chalkboards note John’s ever-changing inspirations. Regulars and groups sometimes call ahead and request ‘chef choice’ meals (usually $25 to $45). The local art on display is for sale.
