Many of the accommodations in Jasper National Park have recently undergone some major upgrades and renovations. Now with so many comfortable options to choose from, one thing is certain: visitors will be warm and cozy during their stays in Canada’s Base of Adventure.
This spring, Jasper locals and visitors alike celebrated the Jasper Pride Festival and the Jasper Canadian Rockies Half Marathon.
Since 2015, The Jasper Planetarium has been feeding the curious minds of Rocky Mountain star gazers with special events, digital planetarium tours, and guided telescope viewing opportunities. Now, for the first time ever, they are opening their doors and broadening their horizons by offering specialized tours for private groups and events.
The Jasper Pride Festival is back for its 8th year and preparing to paint the town rainbow from March 9-12, 2017 to promote understanding and inclusiveness for the LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Questioning and Allied) community.

But the success of the race isn’t all that’s being celebrated; with ten dollars from each entry into the 21k, 10k and 5k events went directly to the Ronald McDonald House of Northern Alberta, organizers are thrilled to report $6,430 in donations raised from race entries alone.

The PJ parade, organized to happen on Rare Disease Day, aims to raise awareness for autoimmune disease, and this year it will kick off a month of PJ-clad events and fundraisers in honour of Autoimmune Disease Awareness Month beginning in March.

Skiers and snowboarders who ventured to Jasper and the slopes of Marmot Basin this past weekend were treated to sunny skies, warm temperatures, crowd-free slopes and ideal snow conditions. It doesn’t get much better than that for skiers looking for their March skiing getaway.
