Hiking

Since it was founded in 1907, Jasper National Park’s natural trail network has been expanded and maintained for the benefit of everyone wanting to experience Jasper's wildlands. Whether you're strolling the short Mary Schäffer Loop, hiking all day in the Bald Hills, mountain-biking the Wabasso Trail or riding a horse near Pyramid Lake, there is something in this Park for you.

A few of Jasper's trails are restricted to pedestrians, but much of the network is shared by hikers, mountain-bikers, equestrians and wildlife.

Several tour companies offer guided experiences:

  • Jasper Adventure Centre: Your one stop adventure shop in Jasper for New Peak Adventures,Canoe Tours and more.
  • Overlander Trekking and ToursOverlander Trekking & Tours can help you make the most of what Jasper has to offer, both in the front country and the backcountry.
  • Sundog Tours: Our sightseeing tours take guests to the most exceptional locations for photos, wildlife viewing, and nature walks.
  • Walks and Talks Jasper: Small group tours led by people who know the park both from training and from a personal level derived from years experiencing the park.
