Marmot Basin Ski Area opens this Friday

Marmot Basin is opening this Friday, November 11th and we are super stoked to check out the two new lifts! Check out the video here.

Always Improving:

Since 2003, Marmot Basin has invested over 18 million dollars in new developments and infrastructure at the ski area. New terrain has opened, state of the art ski lifts have been installed, an award winning, environmentally friendly snowmaking system put in place, and there have been extensive renovations to the rental shop, guest services centre and on-mountain chalets.

In the summer of 2009, Marmot Basin installed a new high speed quad chairlift that is the longest high speed quad in the Canadian Rockies. For the 2011-12 season, Marmot has installed another new high speed quad chair on the "upper area" along with a triple chair on the lower portion of the mountain.

Marmot Basin's shareholder group is committed to long term, sustainable growth of the ski area and have been making significant improvements to the ski area every year. This is a very exciting time for the ski area, the community of Jasper and for skiers and snowboarders who have or will have the opportunity to experience this special and unique national park ski area.
