It’s that time of year again, the trees are up and the stockings are hung, the presents are wrapped (hopefully you’ve finished your Christmas shopping) and the kids are out of school. Everyone is in the Christmas spirit and there are plenty of great things to do in Jasper this holiday season. The shopping experience in downtown Jasper is excellent if you’re still looking for the perfect present. It’s almost customary to get out of the house head up to Marmot Basin and hit the slopes, if you’re feeling active and adventurous. Probably my favourite part of Christmas in Jasper is when the pond opens at Lake Mildred near the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Expect to see everyone out there skating, playing hockey and enjoying the great outdoors. If it’s a cold day I’ll sit next to a campfire sipping on a coffee and hot chocolate in between games. Whatever your interests are, there is a lot fun and cool activities around Jasper to keep you busy!
It may be too early to lay fresh tracks, but that’s not stopping these guys from starting their day.
