The Annual MPL Chili Cook Off!

Jasper in January is well under way and Tourism Jasper had a chance to attend one of the most original and entertaining events in the J in J line-up, the Mountain Park Lodge’s Annual Chili Cook off! This is the first year Tourism Jasper entered a team and it was well worth it! Not only did we get to make some of the best chili, but we had a chance to sample the competitions as well.

The contenders comprise mostly of local businesses, families and friends who get a chance to display their excellent cooking skills, and creative skills throughout the night. Each team must pick a theme for their chili, and accompany it with costumes and props for judging. Tourism Jasper went as Yukigassen Snow Battlers, keeping in theme with our main Jasper in January event! We had a great showing with a big thanks to Yuki the Bear, the Yukigassen Snow Battle official mascot, we managed to capture 3^rd Place in the Best Chili Category!
